How did Hendrick Boards start?

In 2009, Hendrick Boards started with just $200 to purchase blank decks, paints and silk-screening equipment. Initially, founder David “Hendrick” Hendrickson initiated the venture to design unique board and shirt designs for himself and close friends, and as word of mouth has spread, so to has the company. From its origins, Hendrick Boards has had a laser-like focus on the environment and offering products and designs that are eco-friendly. In 2011, Hendrick Boards established an online consumer store by creating www.hendrickboards.com and launched apparel and skateboard collections to the general public.

How does Hendrick Boards give?

Each and every Hendrick Boards skateboard, accessory and piece of apparel makes a statement and a difference. When you purchase any product, Hendrick Boards and you together make a contribution to local nonprofits dedicated to safeguarding the welfare of pets and animals, including pet adoption programs, sanctuaries, rescues and animal shelters. Donations are distributed either based upon the shipping address of the customer or directly to the nonprofit if the customer is accessing the site via a link provided by the nonprofit. What is the quality of your apparel?

Hendrick Boards only offers high-quality, fair trade apparel that are made of 100% ringspun cotton, organic cotton, poly/cotton, or tri-blend fabric. Every piece of apparel is WRAP certified (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production), which requires not only clean ethical cotton fields but quarterly inspections of Sweat Shop Free and Child Labor Free factories, healthy workplace standards, and environmentally friendly products. All of our products are screen printed in the USA.

How should I care for my apparel items?

It is recommended to air dry items and wash each garment inside out on a gentle wash cycle. Some items are extremely delicate and should be dry cleaned only. Please refer to all wash instructions on each garment prior to washing.

What board sizes do you carry?

Hendrick Boards carries both short and long boards. Short board decks are 7.5”x31.5”. The dimensions for the long board decks are 10”x40”. More size options and designs will be offered in the weeks and months to come. If you are looking for a specific size and shape we do not currently offer, please contact us to see how we can help.

What kind of wood are the skateboard decks made of?

All of our long boards are created using three plies of bamboo, for strength and durability, and two plies of maple, for flexibility. Bamboo is a remarkably renewable, sustainably grown material that delivers incredible strength, remarkable pop and durability. Maple plies add durability, shape and performance. At this time, we only offer short boards with 7 plies of Canadian maple, but in the near future, all of our boards will be crafted with bamboo/maple hybrid structure.

Why does Hendrick Boards paint the design to the top of each long board?

Unlike most skateboard decks, Hendrick Boards applies the design to the top of every long board, with the Hendrick logo on the bottom. With the supplied clear grip tape, the design shows through so every user can enjoy the design whether riding or not.

Why is every skateboard deck design slightly different?

Unlike other skateboard deck designers, Hendrick Boards hand applies paints and stains using masks and screen-print techniques. Because of the application techniques, no two boards will be exactly alike.

Do you offer a guarantee?

We value your business and satisfaction and, as such, every product purchase comes with a 30-day money back guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with an item you have purchased, you may return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price, minus the shipping, handling, gift wrap, and other charges. How do I return items?

If you are not satisfied with the product for any reason, please contact us immediately. The item must be returned in good condition, in original boxes (whenever possible), and with all paperwork, parts and accessories to ensure credit. Purchased items are determined un-returnable if worn/used, tags have been removed, or have sustained damage by the customer. ( Money back guarantee is null and void on any custom ordered apparel, accessories, boards and/or other products and on any bulk orders of apparel, accessories, boards and/or other products.) What is the $5 shipping policy?

Every purchase, whether for one item or ten, qualifies for the $5 shipping rate when shipped to the US. All products must be placed and ordered at the same time, and the shipping destination must be within the contiguous United States. U.S. shipments are mailed via USPS Priority Mail. For international orders, customers have the option to ship via USPS Priority Mail or International First Class (if under 4 pounds). International shipping prices vary and are determined by location.

What payment methods are accepted?

HendrickBoards.com accepts all major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover Card, American Express) and PayPal.

Can I order over the phone?

At this time, all orders must be placed online at HendrickBoards.com.

If I purchase an item or sign up for the email list, will I get spam?

No, we value our customers' privacy and you will only be contacted by our company. We do not disclose customer information to any third parties or sell our customer lists.

How do you ship your orders?

Orders within the United States are shipped by the US Postal Service. Your order will typically ship within 7-10 business days from the time you order merchandise on HendrickBoards.com. Shipping times vary by location and shipping options.

What if an item is out of stock?

Although every attempt is made to offer products that are currently in stock, we may go out of stock on certain items from time to time. In such a case, you will be notified by e-mail. If we must back order an item that is part of a larger order, the items we do have in stock will ship and the backordered item will ship when we have them back in stock.
