The dog with burns down 30% of her body finds a new family
This is a story of a burned dog who is now adopted and living a life full of love! New Years day we launched a case for a dog named Asha. She was horribly burned and doctors stated the burns were intentional. This was intentional… Someone had so must hatred and anger, way beyond what I ever experienced to purposely burn this dog.
Our partners at Dallas Dog RRR took one look and knew they needed to step in or she would surely die. Their rescue team went straight into action and transported Asha to their emergency vets office.
To be honest, the pictures did not do her justice, very painful to look at so I can only imagine what pain she is in.
First doctors needed to stabilize Asha. She was placed on heavy doses of pain medication, fluids and throughly cleaning the wounds. It was discovered that most of the skin was dead. Doctors had to remove most of the burned tissue.
We know many folks are playing the lottery for a billion dollars, but ASHA truly has hit the jackpot! She was intentionally harmed by humans, but she never lost her love for us. Today, Asha living it up in Washington State with her new family! She goes on weekly fishing trips and has a big family who loves her. She looks like a completely different dog. She may have scars on her body but she has no scares in her heart. She will live the rest of her days loved and cared for.
This is just one of the many cases our company supports through our campaigns. Through each t-shirt, hoodie, tote or coffee mug you help us fund animals just like Asha. We cannot do this without your support. Please share Asha’s story and continue to support our work!
