Brink: Abuse, Neglect Leaves Puppy in Need of Emergency Surgery

Dallas DogRRR rescuers received an alert about a litter of puppies living in horrendous conditions in South Texas. Brink, one of the puppies, is in dire need of emergency surgery.

Brink has an abscess that ruptured the shaft to his penis. He was rushed to the ER with a surgery scheduled for Thursday, August 5, 2021.

We do not have many details at this point. These babies are barely even weeks old, yet they have been set up for failure the minute they were born. To say this is neglect is an understatement. This is simply abuse. No animal ought to live in such conditions, let alone left to suffer like they have. Thankfully, someone alerted Dallas DogRRR about the puppies. This is why speaking up is critical in animal rescue.

Right now, we are focused on raising the funds needed to save Brink. His surgery, scheduled for Thursday is needed to save his life. It did not have to get to this point, but this is the reality that rescuers at Dallas DogRRR now face. Hospitalization is estimated to cost Dallas DogRRR between $5,000 and $6,000.

Hendrick & Co. has created this campaign to raise the funds needed for Brink's surgery. With every purchase of a shirt, mug, blanket, notebook, and much more, we will donate directly to Dallas DogRRR to give Brink the medical attention he deserves. Let's change the lives of Brink and the other puppies forever.

Brink had a successful surgery to fix his penis area. Thankfully, doctors were able to rebuild his shaft area. They did have to stick a catheter in to help him urinate. He is just barely 3 weeks old.

Today, Brink was discharged from the hospital and is settling in with his Foster. He is even cuter in person. He pottied on his pee pad, found all of his new toys and is snuggled on his Foster Mum with his heartbeat bear.
