Harold is paralyzed and deformed from puppy mill
UPDATE 1/31/21: This is what a puppy mill called Petland did. They are in TX where there are little laws protecting animals from puppy mills. There are no charges against Pet Land and they will continue to do this. When rescuers first got Harold they had no idea just how ill he was. Within days his mobility started to deteriorate. They realized something big was wrong and rushed him back to the ER. He aspirated on vomit and started having seizures a few weeks ago. They discovered that he has congenital spinal deterioration.
Along with his spinal condition Harold had hydrocephalus which caused his eyes to bulge and cross. So his sight is embedded and has to look at his rescuer from the side. His spinal condition caused pressure on his intestine where it won’t push the stoll through like a normal dog.
Harold will need lifetime care for his condition. He has around the clock care from his “fos-spice” mommy. Its a program where he has a medical foster who will be caring for Harold his entire life. He responded well to his procedures but he will need 3 injections a day along with a ton of medication.
Having said all of this I want you to know that he is only 11 months old and can have a meaningful life but needs our support. He is so strong and has already shown doctors he can do great.
We created the Save Harold campaign to help pay for his care. His care is extensive and expensive and Dallas Dog RRR needs our support now more than ever. Please consider something for yourself or a friend and share his story far and wide! People need to see what an abusive puppy mill did to him. This has to end.
