2 dogs were confiscated from their owners and no charges were filed.
This case came in from the team at Dallas Dog RRR. They took in these two horribly abused and neglected dogs. The worst part is they had owners. Yes, their owners did this to them.
They were confiscated by animal control from their owners in this condition. Unfortunately there were no charges filed and the animals were taken to a high kill disease filled shelter. We have no information on this case and why there were no charges filed.
The nonprofit who saved them called Dallas Dog RRR have taken in both animals into their program and will be giving on their facebook page. Now, we are asking for your help.
These two sweet babies are covered in an infection called mange. This leaves their bodies with cracked, scabbed and sore skin. They have been extremely emaciated to where you can see every rib and bone.
These two dog have a long road of recovery ahead of them. To help these babies please consider purchasing one of their products you see below to help raise the funds for their specialty care. With every purchase you can save these two abused dogs.Let's all make our Christmas gifts about saving these two dogs!
UPDATE 12-3-18: I wanted to share a special photo with you on these two babies. Although no charges will be filed in their abuse these two dogs have been flown by Pilot John a volunteer from Pilots N PAws. He flew the two dogs up to Dallas to Dallas Dog RRR to be in foster care. John graciously flew "Chestnut" and "Umber" from S. Texas where they had been in medical boarding after being seized for neglect by authorities. They both are very loving, sweet, and just happy! Now we need to find fosters for them! They will not disappoint!
UPDATE 1-10-19: Chestnut has already found her new home! Umber, the more critical of the two dogs, has sure turn into quite the beauty, hasn't she? From being seized as a result of a cruelty case, she now plays with her foster pups and is enjoying life! The last missing piece to this story is her happy ending... her furever home. Dallas DogRRR is a group of dedicated, animal-loving volunteers who support the abandoned dogs of Dallas, Texas, by collecting supplies, paying vet bills, locating foster families, facilitating adoptions, and advocating for a more hopeful future. We are often seen even in the trenches of SE Dallas searching for and rescuing forgotten dogs. We have no administrative fees; no one is on payroll. Every single cent that is donated goes directly to paying for vet bills and food/supplies for our rescued dogs, as well as for boarding (for those that don’t have fosters). We are simply a group of volunteers motivated by the inspiring rescue stories that we get to be a part of every day!
