16 abused dogs come from a closed down Rescue in Alabama.
Our partners at Troy Animal Rescue Project received word that a Rescue in Alabama was closing. The pets that were left needed placement. They took in one that had medical issues. It wasn’t until they looked at his intake sheet that we realized he had been in rescue for 6 months has no hair, a bacterial infection on his skin, and a broken leg that was not treated so has healed wrong. After seeing him, rescuers knew they had to help the others. They are about to intake another 15 dogs from the Rescue!
As you can see from the photos, most of the dogs are seniors and all have high medical needs. These dogs have not seen a vet in years!!! Some of the records reflect these dogs have been heart-worm positive for years. Many are also completely shut down emotionally. They run, hide and try to make themselves invisible when people are near.
Unfortunately, most of these dogs will incur tremendous vetting bills in order to get healthy again. TARP vet bills are already extremely high but we couldn’t refuse to help. So we have partnered with TARP to create the animal saving products like coffee mugs and tee shirts you see below.
Current Medical Needs As Of Now: -16 rabies vaccinations -16 parvo/distemper vaccinations -16 deworming treatments -8 mange treatments -Redo 16 heartworm tests that are out of date by years. A possible 8 dogs are heartworm positive and will need treatment based on past rescues records. More could need treatment if preventative wasn’t given. -Male senior dog has persistent cough and can’t catch breath. Also having issues walking. -Coco (Dog in first photo) needs treatment for mange, grooming for the mats on his back, treatment for yeast infection on ears, and treatment for both eyes which are infected -Cherry eye surgery for one dog
***Note: We are withholding the Rescue name due to seeking legal repercussions.***
This list is being added to daily, as more medical issues present themselves and the dogs start circulating through our vets office. This is going to cost in the tens of thousands of dollars for Troy Animal Rescue Project and this is not the type of funds they have. So we have partnered with TARP to create the animal saving products like coffee mugs and tee shirts you see below. Please consider purchasing one of these items and help us save every single one of these babies in need! Please help.
