Angus: Forced to live a life of abuse.
As tears are running down my face and my heart is pounding I write this tragic story of Angus… another needless victim of abuse.
The one thing that is certain is Angus was living in HELL, his injuries are not from one fight, he has old scars, old wounds which clearly indicates a hard/sad past. His short 2 & 1/2 years old life has been filled with nothing but abuse and torture.
Angus spent several hours in surgery and he is going to need at least 2-3 more procedures. Right now 2nd Chance Rescue staff want to give his body a rest and wait for his blood results to come back in the event he has other medical issues that will need to be addressed.
Read what Dr. Scott Darger, 2nd Chance Dog Rescue's vet says about Angus…
"Just finished with Angus. We got all of the mud and crust and debris cleaned off and all of the wounds flushed. They are pretty bad. They definitely are worse than they looked before we could see them. He also has some issues we couldn't see before. His lower left jaw has all of the gingiva torn away from the bone. His ear is torn up pretty bad and he has a lot of lower leg swelling from all of the trauma. "
SCR staff can't get over how loving and forgiving Angus is, even with all his injuries and pain, he is giving kisses and wagging his tail. He has never once shown signs of aggression towards the staff. They wouldn't blame him if he did, but it is clear our boy is an ANGEL.
We have partnered with 2nd Chance Dog Rescue to help raise the funds needed for Angus 's care. You can make a difference in Angus 's life one tee, hoodie or bracelet at a time!
