Aniela was found in a plastic bag!
I don't know how to say this but this is bad. A tiny puppy was found dumped in a plastic bag! This tiny baby was dying and struggling to stay alive. How she lasted this long is a miracle.
Our partners at New York Bully Crew were contacted by a man who asked the rescue to investigate a bag that might have been moving. When she arrived, she discovered a little puppy lifeless and frozen in fear. The puppy was brought to a nearby place to assess and it was discovered that she was bleeding.
Volunteers rushed Aniela to the emergency vet where they determined she is a small breed mix of 3 months old, positive for parvovirus, and is critical. It is unknown how long she suffered, we do not know if she will survive. Last night the town had torrential rainstorms and many of the animals were affected. We do not know if she was dumped prior to the storms. There is so much unknown and in Puerto Rico the resources for investigation are nonexistent. Now NYBC is focused on saving this baby girl’s life.
She is hospitalized and fighting for her life. We have partnered with New York Bully Crew to help raise the funds they need to cover her emergency surgeries and continued care. For that we need your help!
To help Aniela please consider purchasing one of her shirts, totes, bracelets and coffee mugs below. We have partnered with NYBC to create these animal saving products to raise the funds needed to save this innocent victim.
7-12-18: Talk about a transformation. Baby girl Aniela was knocking on death’s door a few weeks ago when she was tossed away in a plastic bag and was parvo virus positive. Today she is healthy, happy and excited to be alive! Aniela is preparing for her future and will be ready to be vaccinated soon enough so she can be medically cleared to travel. It is unknown how long she suffered, we did not know if she would even survive!! Look at her now!! She is doing great and thanks for YOUR donations which made this all possible!!
New York Bully Crew
New York Bully Crew is a 501c3 not-for-profit rescue organization founded in December 2010. Though based on Long Island, NYBC’s outreach is nationwide. We specialize in rescuing Pitbulls, however no animal in dire need of rescue is turned away. NYBC strives to bring positive attention to the most loyal breed one could encounter, and give second chances to those who have been discarded by humans simply because of what they are…a Pitbull.
