Aria was caught on camera being dragged across the shelter floor.
THEY JUST DRAGGED
She was dragged across the floor by a shelter staff member. Although this is not illegal... they could have given her respect and love. Keep reading to learn what we did next : http://dogco.org/save-aria-tupPosted by Hendrick & Co. on Wednesday, December 14, 2016
She's being dragged even though she's fighting with all her might. Her paws are slipping while she's trying to hold on. She knows the consequences if she can't escape. Another night in the darkness of a small town shelter whose only source of heat is a portable heater on the other side of the metal building. ** We are not the ones who are dragging her across the floor. That is a shelter staff member! This video has already been seen by the authorities. Nothing illegal was done but they should have picked her up and given her love and dignity... **
She has been struggling to survive but this place is not any better. She has missed many meals but all she can think about is escaping and being freed of her desperation. Every dog is scared to death when they enter the shelter doors. Aria has managed to be a survivor! Our partners at The Underdog Project saw this video and immediately went to the shelter and took Aria into their program for life saving care. We now are asking for your help! You can help save Aria one shirt at a time!
Aria was rushed to the Vet and had her first nights rest in a safe place. She's still pretty frightened, but wants to trust. First is stabilizing her. She is needing to gain a lot of weight before anything else can be done. You can see this poor girl is just skin and bone. She will need weeks of treatment. It's sad that she has gone through so much and she's barely one year old.
Aria was abandoned in a small town and picked up by animal control and taken to a small rural shelter. The shelter has basically zero funds. They try to help the dogs get out but that's not the reality of many small shelters. They just don't have the capacity or man power to do anything but care for the dogs. Many times they can only afford food. Most dogs that enter rural shelters don't get out alive. Today that changes for Aria!
Today, this girl was saved from certain death. We have created this campaign page with The Underdog Project to help us raise the funds needed for Aria’s recovery. Everything you see here from a tee shirt, to a tote bag, hoodie and necklace helps us give the care needed for this babies care. Will you help us give a Holiday miracle?
