Binky was lifeless and rescuers did not think he would survive the ride to the ER.

Rescuers were called late at night right before the shelter was closing to help this tiny Yorkie who was found dumped outdoors. Rescuers knew every second counted to save Binky's life. He was cold to the touch, temperature was not registering and he was lateral and barely responsive. Rescuers rushed the tiny dog straight to Blue Pearly Emergency Hospital. He was extremely emaciated and completely limp.
Who knows what atrocities this little one has endured to now be lying dazed, helpless with barely a heartbeat. A miracle happened and he made it through the night. He went from being completely limp to now alert and showering staff with kisses.
There was a mass of foreign objects in his stomach due to whatever he was eating in the wild to stay alive. His body score was a 1 out of 9, he is frail and all bones. His doctor will introduce food to him carefully so that he does not have to face re-feeding syndrome.
Binky continues to do well at the hospital, he is having a blood transfusion as a precaution to keep him stable. He is a happy go lucky fluffer and due to his poor body condition he will be at the hospital for at least another 2 weeks until he is weight appropriate to be medically cleared for travel. Now we are asking for your support for little Binky!
Second Chance Rescue NYC’s vet bills are very high. We ask that you help with considering purchasing one of Binky’s products below and help fund his continued care.
