Bridget: Hit by a car and jumped off a bridge in desperation.
We have a Bridget Rose Update that will warm your heart.
She is home with her medical foster family. Her amazing foster mommy says that Bridget is being a perfect patient. She follows them around everywhere and slept in their bed on first night.
The best part is seeing Bridget playing along with her foster sisters and brothers. She is loving her foster Mommy and Daddy and being very spoiled eating like a pig putting the weight back on that she lost when she was hospitalized. She is another shining example of why we do what we do here at Hendrick & Co. We are still working with Apollo Support and Rescue to continue to raise funds for her care. Please consider purchasing an animal saving shirt, hoodie or accessory to help this sweet girl!
Apollo Rescue & Support got a call from the Fort Worth Police stating a dog had just been HIT by a car and was disoriented, causing her to run for her life and JUMP OFF of the bridge.
She is hurt badly from the injuries sustained by being hit, but made even worse when she jumped off the bridge in desperation. Apollo immediately went into action to save her life. They sent volunteers to pick her up and she was taken immediately to emergency care. She is in critical condition.
She has been lovingly named BRIDGET ROSE. She is now at a specialty center receiving live saving care. Here is what we know now. Bridget's left elbow is horribly dislocated and displaced. She has to have surgery to put it back in to place. Her back left femur is broken and needs plates and pins put in surgically as well. This surgery will be extensive and she will be in rehab for many weeks.
The emergency vet team is going to monitor her overnight with pain medications and antibiotics and keep checking her for internal bleeding. We will post her x-ray pictures as soon as we get them in. Apollo Support & Rescue writes, " Two invasive surgeries at the specialty hospital will be a lot of money...now we are worried. We can do this though! Everyone please keep sharing." We have partnered with Apollo Support & Rescue to help raise the funds needed for BRIDGET ROSE's care. You're your help we can fully fund her recovery! She deserves a life of love and hope.
Apollo Support & Rescue INc
Our organization rescues dogs from local North Texas animal shelters or dogs trying to survive from abuse or neglect and living a hard life on the street. If only dogs could talk we would know more about their history and where they came from. They may have scars, been abused or abandon or just lost their way. Our goal at Apollo is to be a stepping stone to care for them and place them in homes that believe in second chances.
