Buckabee was tied to a tree next to an abandoned home by his family!
A coward wrapped a rope around his neck and tied it to a tree next to a vacant home! On one of the coldest nights it's a miracle that he did not suffocate or freeze to death. I wonder what was running through that cowards mind at that moment they drove off?
Did they have emotion? Were they sad? Did they look back? Did they have any regrets? Did they ever think of him again? I can not even utter the thoughts of driving off without them.
Thank god he was found him before he died. Animal control took him to the cold shelter were he sat scared. You can see it in his eyes. His shelter notes say that he had “dark diarrhea in his kennel and seems depressed.” Dallas Dog RRR stepped in and rushed this baby to the Emergency Room.
He has extensive hair-loss from areas where he has literally scratched himself raw. His body is frail with dehydrating and emaciation. A skin scrape was performed and it came back positive for Demodex. Vet staff also ran a fecal test that came back positive for hook worms. Not only that, much to staff's surprise, they saw demodex mites in his stool. This is bad.
For the first time he has a name, Buckabee. Dallas Dog RRR will not stop until Buckabee is completely healed emotionally and physically but for that they need help.
His vet bills with be in the hundreds and we are here to help. We created the new “Be Kind To Animals” shirts inspired by the iconic animal rights tee worn by Doris Day. Please consider one for you or a friend and show the world Buckabee’s life matters!
