Catalina is a kitten with mangled legs.
We have created this campaign page to help raise the funds needed to save a Kitten with twisted back legs. This very young baby was in pain with at least one fracture. The shelter was going to euthanize her to due lack resources but thankfully The Arrow Fund took one look at this baby and rushed her to their Emergency Vet.
Catalina was evaluation and it was determined that she indeed did have a fracture. It also was discovered that she has no fibula in both back legs. Her legs have also contracted. Her Doctor is sending her file to University of Missouri who specializes in these type of cases to see if she would be a candidate for any type of procedure to help her.
In the meantime Catalina is being treated for rickets from extreme malnutrition. This includes UV light treatments, laser therapy, and vitamin and mineral supplements to start. ( Please look at the adorable picture of Catalina in her goggles receiving UV Therapy!)
This girl has so much spunk and personality! She is a fighter and wants to live! She is a beauty as well! Catalina is one of 26 animals medical needs cases under The Arrow Fund care. Their cases are extreme and many cases take multiple months to heal. So we want to take this opportunity to thank you for your support in advance. We simply could not do what we do without your help
We have partnered with The Arrow Fund to help raise the funds they need to save Catalina. To help save this tiny baby please consider purchasing one of her shirts, totes, bracelets and coffee mugs below. We have partnered with her rescuers to create these animal saving products to raise the funds needed to save Catalina’s life.
The Arrow Fund
The Arrow Fund provides medical treatment to Kentuckiana animals who have been the victims of torture or extreme forms of abuse and neglect. By highlighting these cases, we strive to educate the public regarding the ongoing problem of animal cruelty and the need to strengthen Kentuckiana's animal welfare laws.
