Cisco had hundreds of people walk by in LA before someone helped.
Happening Now! Please help. Hundreds of people walked by him before he was helped. Thankfully a good samaritan picked him up. The puppy, now name Cisco, was limping in pain and homeless. Both right front and rear legs were torn to pieces and infected with maggots and foul smelling necrotic tissue. As I write this I am in tears. Please help become his Christmas miracle.
In turn, we are asking our loyal supporters like you for help. After being brought to a local vet clinic the quote for emergency care was huge and sadly nobody could afford to help. Our partners at Henry’s Hope Foundation were sent a plea to help. What they saw next brought volunteers to tears.
Volunteer, Barbie, rushed to the clinic to see Cisco and finding him in grave danger decided it was best to bring him to Henry’s Hope’s private vet clinic who has experience saving badly injured dogs like Cisco. Dr. Barry Baum at Center Sinai Animal Hospital went into action to save Cisco. Sadly he is only 8-10 weeks of age. I can’t begin to imagine what he has been through.
He was placed on multiple pain medications. Huge areas of his skin are missing and what’s left is decayed and he was septic. He has enormous holes in his inner thigh and front arm. He was completely infested with maggots. As the infected dead tissue sloughs off Doctors will attempt to reconstruct and close the wounds. Problem is, there is so much necrosis and a large percentage of his skin is missing. This will be a long process of healing and we cannot do it without you!
This is where we are asking for your help! His surgery will cost in the thousands not to mention his continued care. That is just not the type of funds Henry's Hope Foundation has. We have stepped in to help. We have created the Animal Abuse Awareness shirts, hoodies, totes and bracelets you see below. We ask that if you would consider one of these items for your Christmas gift list. It's a great gift to give to family and friends and you get to tell them they helped save Cisco!
