Cletus was living off of nothing but rocks and gravel .
Where do we begin? This emaciated Coonhound was found on the side of the road in rural Kentucky. The hardest part about this case is that his belly is full or gravel and rocks. That means this poor thing has been trying to live off that gravel. This is incredibly sad knowing this baby had no other choice.
Our rescue partners at The Arrow Fund named him Cletus. Here is where the amazingness happens when good people come together across the country to save the life of one animal. The arrow fund worked with their pilot friends Dr. Jeff Allen and Valerie Allen for flying to get this gentle boy to their vet clinic for care. Cletus is now at Blue Pearl Emergency Clinic and the news is not good. We are now asking for the publics help!
We were told that Cletus is heart-worm positive on top of being so starved. I mean you can literally see every bone in his body. Radiographs shows the gravel in his belly. Many times when these babies are so starved, they will eat anything just to try to survive. My heart hurts just thinking about it.
Rebecca of The Arrow Fund says, “We face an uphill battle of abuse and having you by our side makes what we do possible.”
We have partnered with The Arrow Fund to help Cletus. Everything you see on Cletus’ page from a shirt to a hoodie or bracelet all help save this innocent victim! With every purchase you can help give this boy a second chance at love and life! Will you help?
The Arrow Fund
The Arrow Fund provides medical treatment to Kentuckiana animals who have been the victims of torture or extreme forms of abuse and neglect. By highlighting these cases, we strive to educate the public regarding the ongoing problem of animal cruelty and the need to strengthen Kentuckiana's animal welfare laws.
