Cuddles wad dumped at the shelter in a box.
Cuddles was just brought into an Atlanta shelter in this red box, barely able to walk due to being severely emaciated. What was lurking inside Cuddles shocked both doctors and her rescuers, Rescue Dogs Rock.
Sadly, when Cuddles was examined by the Emergency Vet, she had X-rays performed and it was determined that Cuddles was suffering from a kidney stone the size of a grapefruit. How she is still with us is a miracle. Staff went into action to save her life.
Cuddles was immediately taken in for emergency surgery to remove the kidney stone. During the surgery, RDR’s Vet found that Cuddles bladder was grey in color indicating that infection had been lingering in the area for over a year and that surely Cuddles was suffering tremendously over this last year. We are in tears. I can’t believe this.
Rescue Dogs Rock assumes she was dumped at the shelter for peeing in the house, which obviously was due to her medical condition. Sadly this happens a lot. What a nightmare for Cuddles and the pain she must have endured over this last year. But, now we are here to pick up the pieces and save her life. Will you help us help her?
The surgery was risky due to how emaciated she is but thankfully she's a fighter and made it through successfully. The problem now is will the sutures hold and will Cuddles bladder rejuvenate healthy tissue. Only time will tell. Cuddles deserves so much more!
This is where we are asking for your help! We have partnered with RDR to create the animal saving shirts, sweaters and accessories to raise the funds needed to save Little Cuddles. The neglect she has endured of the years is unimaginable but we are here to save her life but cannot do this without you. Purchase your animal saving tee today and help us save Cuddles.
