Cupid is fighting for his life and was left at the shelter.
This is bad you guys. Our partners received a 911 call from the shelter at closing, it was DYING puppy. He was just 7 weeks old and his sibling died this morning. He is skin and bones and barely weighs 3 lbs. They were vaccinated 4 days ago. They were fine and then started having diarrhea last night. When he arrived at the shelter his eyes sealed shut and he was non responsive. Now he needs your help!
Rescuers rushed Cupid to one of their specialist doctors to assess and stabilize him. Once stabilized he was rushed to then rushed in to the ER.
Cupid has been diagnosed with multiple things; he has Pulmonary Congestion they suspect signs of broncho pneumonia. He was diagnosed with a level ll/lV heart murmur and he is dehydrated. It gets worse. His lymph nodes are swollen in the left mandibular and he was hypothermic his temperature was 97.4. He did have a fecal test and had bloody diarrhea. Now we are working with Dallas Dog RRR to raise the funds needed to save tiny Cupid but we cannot do this without your help.
Cupid has been released from the emergency room. The main concerns at this point are that he is still anemic, and has bronchitis. He was sent to a medical foster with medications and will be under 24/7 observation. He is still fighting for his tiny life. He is severely emaciated only weighting 2.64 pounds.
Doctors said he condition is guarded. His care will cost in the thousands and that is just not the type of funds Dallas DogRRR has. To help save Cupid and give him the care he needs please consider purchasing one of his shirts, totes, bracelets and coffee mugs below. They make a beautiful gift and give knowing you helped save this poor baby!
Dallas DogRRR is a group of dedicated, animal-loving volunteers who support the abandoned dogs of Dallas, Texas, by collecting supplies, paying vet bills, locating foster families, facilitating adoptions, and advocating for a more hopeful future. We are often seen even in the trenches of SE Dallas searching for and rescuing forgotten dogs. We have no administrative fees; no one is on payroll. Every single cent that is donated goes directly to paying for vet bills and food/supplies for our rescued dogs, as well as for boarding (for those that don’t have fosters). We are simply a group of volunteers motivated by the inspiring rescue stories that we get to be a part of every day!
