Denali was found with his jaw hanging apart.
A tiny puppy was found with his jaw hanging open. He had blunt force trauma to his head. He was unable to eat or close his mouth.
Denali was transported from Muhlenburg County Kentucky to Louisville, Kentucky under the care of Metropolitan Veterinary Specialists. He has been under the care of Dr. Applewhite.
Denali was sedated for surgery. He received stitches in his mouth with a strategically placed muzzle put in place to realign his jaw. He will not be able to use his mouth during healing. His pain is now under control with him on several medications. Denali is only able to eat gruel through a hole in the muzzle.
He is safe with our partners at The Arrow Fund and they need our help. His care is already in the thousands and will only grow.
URGENT UPDATE 1-13-19: Denali has had a major set back. Denali was rushed back to the hospital today with an abscess the size of a clementine orange. He was sedated and it was drained. A culture was taken and doctors say infection is present. This has added major costs to his hospital bills.
We have created the animal saving products you see below to help raise the funds needed to cover the costs of Denali’s care. We ask that you consider purchasing one of these items and help support The Arrow Fund save Denali.
