Flower will not survive without your love and support.
Breaking news from the Humane Society of Louisiana. They have partnered once more with our friends at St. Landry Animal Control to save the life of another mistreated and deserving animal. Please meet "Flower," a 1-2-year-old lab/hound mix who was recently found wandering the streets of Tower Road in Opelousas. She is being transported to an emergency veterinarian today.
Flower weighs a total of 12 lbs, far below the normal range of 60 lbs for a dog of her size and age. Like most public shelters in Louisiana, St. Landry's modest operational budget won't cover the emergency care for strays or victims of abuse. That is why HSL offered to help them and other agencies on a regular, almost daily basis, to ensure that wonderful animals like Flower get a second chance at a great life.
Of course, HSL could not provide these life-saving services without the help of the thousands of generous donors, like you. We have created this animal saving campaign to raise the funds needed to save flower! Get your animal saving tee or candle and give this innocent victim a second chance at life.
Flower needs your help today. With every purchase today, we will donate to help Humane Society of Louisiana do everything they can to save Flower’s life. Will you join us?
Humane Society of Louisiana
Our humane society was established in 1988. We operate two no-kill sanctuary: one for companion animals and one for farm animals. We are also a private detective agency, licensed by the state and one of our primary activities is to investigate cruelty to animal complaints. We work directly with dozens of law enforcement agencies on a regular basis, providing tips and logistical support, especially in the rural areas of Louisiana, where there are few resources for animals.
