Harry was dumped at a shelter the day after Thanksgiving!
Just when you think we have seen the worst of a dog owner's cruelty, we receive another plea for a horrific case. Fortunately, for a two-month-old emaciated pup, now dubbed Harry, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC came to the pooche's aid at the last minute. Harry was dumped at a high kill shelter the day after Thanksgiving with blood coming from his rectum. WHO WOULD DO THIS? This dog had no chance … Until now.
Stacey Silverstein, co-founder of RDR writes "He is emaciated, with no temperature registering at this time and he is cold to the touch. He is weak and cannot move. He is being rushed to our vet partner for emergency medical care. We have named him Harry and we hope we are not to late. Pray for him as he's in critical condition. We have no information how Harry was left in this condition. As always we will do everything possible for this angel baby."
Now we need your help! Harry was saved on the day after Thanksgiving – a puppy who by no fault of his own nearly died. He was rushed to an Emergency Vet in Georgia for life saving care. Medical staff determined Harry suffers from an inflamed gastrointestinal track, which has caused him to bleed from the rectum. Had rescuers not committed to saving this puppy, he would have bled to death all alone in a cold dark and scary shelter. He is now on intravenous therapy and will need constant fluids and more tests to determine the origin of his health problems. We cannot save this pup without you! Please help us show Harry he can have a pain free life with love!
We created this campaign page with Rescue Dogs Rock to help raise donations for Harry's recovery. The animal-saving products you see here all help us give this tiny puppy the care he needs! Please, if you can, purchase an item, share with your friends and help us make the holidays about saving Harry! Give a gift this Holiday season and save a life! With your help we can give little Harry a chance at a pain free life!
