Hicks is completely blind. He had no chance. He was scared, alone and helpless. That is until now. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN TO ANY DOG! Hicks is starting to feel safe. He is getting used to his surroundings and humans touching him, caring for him. He is blind so he was so frightened by all the new sounds, smells and touches. Our heart breaks for the thought of Hicks being out there all alone, starving, and without sight. Well, you will never be alone again Mr. Hicks!
New York Bully Crew received a plea about a blind dog running around. Notice the cropped ears and collar -- this was someone's dog! Immediately NYBC said get him, find him! So their PR liaison set out to rescue Mr. Hicks. Hicks has sarcoptic mange, heartworm and dermatitis. He is severely malnourished and completely BLIND. His paws are raw and inflamed.
Although he is still not strong enough to receive vaccines, he is receiving vitamin supplements, medicated baths, pain meds and treatment for his multiple skin conditions. Including severe sarcoptic mange, skin bacterial infection, severe fungal infection in his ears, and malnutrition.
Now we desperately need your help saving this boy's life. We have partnered with New York Bully Crew to create this week's animal saving products! Every shirt, hoodie and bracelet can help save Hick's life! With your purchase today we can give this victim of abuse a chance at a pain free life full of love.
UPDATE 12-11-16: His ears were also chopped off by his abusers. He remains critical but is gaining strength day by day. He is slowly getting used to human touch again. He is learning humans can be loving and caring. He has started to give his medical foster mommy love back with kisses and hugs. Please Please Please continue to share this story.
UPDATE 1-2-17: His heartworm treatment has begun. Plus, he is on anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory meds for his skin condition along with medicated baths every day. Physically, he is in such poor condition. This is an uphill battle for this sweet boy. Mr. Hicks is still healing from sarcoptic mange and dermatitis. Just looking at this poor boys face breaks my heart. He is gaining weight after being malnourished. Unfortunately he will always be blind, there was nothing staff could do to save his sight. His rescuers at New York Bully Crew desperately need all the support they can get. His care is a huge cost to them. We have created this page to help raise funds for his care. Everything from a tee shirt, tote bag, necklace and hoodie can help NYBC continue to give Hicks life saving care. This blind boy deserves a second chance at love.
