Issac has suffered horribly and has been rushed to the ER.
This is one of the worst abuse cases we have ever seen. Our partners at Second Chance Rescue NYC are right now getting an urgent call from the shelter while this little snowflake is on the animal control truck as we speak. Issac was found in this heartbreaking condition in the woods near the train tracks. We can only imagine what has happened to him.
He can't get up. He is covered in dirt, fleas and maggots. His body is completely covered in wounds and these bloody wounds are very infected and infested leaving him in complete shock. We know very little right now.
Rescuers know that he has been out there a long time (several weeks), he needs urgent ER NOW. Second Chance Rescue NYC have given the shelter word that the dog is not to get off the truck and the officer is to proceed to the nearby specialty ER now.
Second Chance Rescue writes, "There is no time to waste and we will do everything we can. If we feel that his injuries are too much for this dog to overcome them, we are not about ego's here and we will do right by him. But first we must try, this is so devastating that animal should have had to be on his own like this for so long.”
Please help Second Chance Rescue save this baby. We have partnered with them to help raise the funds they need to cover his surgery costs and continued care. For that we need your help!
To help Issac please consider purchasing one of his shirts, totes, bracelets and coffee mugs below. We have partnered with Second Chance Rescue to create these animal saving products to raise the funds needed to save this innocent victim of abuse.
UPDATE: I have a heartbreaking message from Isaac's Rescuer, "Initially I thought I was about to post and tell you all to brace yourselves that Issac was going into emergency surgery now to repair his bladder and we needed healing energy sent his way But before I could do that my phone rang all too soon and I knew what that meant. I watched it ring twice and thought of throwing it across the room but instead I chose to act like an adult and pick it up. It was Issacs wonderful surgeon who we have worked with many many times and he told me exactly what we all did not want to hear. The bladder was not viable, there was no repairing it at all. I knew this was a possibility but we did not know unless we tried. Issac was given every opportunity, the nature of the way we rescue in this organization IS AGGRESSIVE. Had the surgery been a success (if the bladder was viable), he still would have had a series of procedures that were in cue to get done: MRI, Scrotal abrasion, Hernia surgery and so forth. We were hoping that the surgery would have been a turn for the better but instead the Universe decided to take our little snowflake home. Issac left this world loved by all and please find comfort in knowing Fran was with him. The decisions we make for dogs that come under our care are looked at with what the highest intention is for the dog and they are treated as if they are our personal dogs. Kisses to your beautiful little eyes Issac, we love you, you're a good boy. Thank you everyone who fought the battle beside him."
