Jair was left on the streets to survive alone and covered in infection.
Where do I begin? Meet baby Jair who is being treated and is hospitalized in PR. Taking one look and you can see he will have an elongated hospital stay. New York Bully Crew’s rescue colleague and dear friend saved this poor sad boy off the streets of Puerto Rico.
He was left hungry on the street trying to survive alone. Jair is covered in the worst case of demodex mange I have seen. His skin is wrecked from malnourishment, plus severe pyoderma, a painful skin infection eating away his healthy skin.
Jair was also diagnosed with ehrlichia, a tick borne disease that causes anemia. NYBC has successfully saved other cases like Jair but for that we are asking for your support. Today rescuers hope to do the same for Jair.
NYBC works with their veterinary partner in Puerto Rico, Paseos Vet Center. Even though he was unwanted and abandoned that all changes today.
Please help sponsor his care. This will cost rescuers hundreds of dollars and these are funds most rescues do not have. We are sponsoring his care with one of our animal saving products. Please consider one for you or a friend and give Jair a chance!
UPDATE: I have that update on Jair that I wanted to share with you. So many of you supported and shared his story and I can't thank you enough. When I first shared Jair's images with you it was heartbreaking. He was dumped in the streets by his owners because his face was disfigured with infection. But, look at how far this street dog has come. Jair has made progress while being treated in PR. His elongated hospital stay is coming to an end and he will soon be ready for his forever home. BUT rescuers still need your help!
