Jeremy is being rushed to the specialty hospital.
We received a plea from our partners Rescue Dogs Rock to help a badly abused dog they named Jeremy. Our hearts are breaking for him. He looks like he is made of stone with those sad eyes peering out begging for help. He came into the shelter as a “stray” unable to walk or even stand.
RDR rushed the puppy to their vet. Jeremy’s temperature was only 94 degrees and the transporter was in tears saying the puppy was ice cold to the touch. The medical team was prepared and waiting to spring into action to save his life.
Vet staff got a central line in to Jeremy and he was started on albumen (protein) and blood transfusions along with dextrose. Jeremy's red blood cell count (PVC) was only 6 when he arrived at the vets yesterday which is very bad and his temperature wasn't readable!
As of last night his PVC was brought up to 28, however, this morning it's back down to 10 which again is bad. And while he ate yesterday (he's emaciated) he's not wanting to eat today. Another problem is that because his skin is so bad from the mange and he's dehydrated his veins are blown and they cannot get a catheter back in. Jeremy is now being rushed to a specialty hospital where they will have to put a central line in. This is Jeremy's only hope to survive.
Now they need our help! Rescue Dogs Rock is a licensed Non Profit Organization and rely solely on donations to continue their life-saving work. They cannot do this without us.
This is where we are asking for your help! We have partnered with RDR to create these animal saving shirts, sweaters and accessories to raise the funds needed to save little Jeremy. Everything from a tee to a bracelet can help RDR give her the care he needs heal both mentally and physically from this horrible abuse.
