Johanna is a 2 week old street puppy found on a doorstep.
I know this is the last thing you want to see so close to Christmas but this is the realty NYBC is facing! This tiny, infant pup showed up at the front door of one of an independent rescuer in Venezuela. She has a bad wound on her head and is only 2 WEEKS old! This is heartbreaking. New York Bully Crew immediately stepped in to save this puppy. They have named her Baby Johanna! How she survived on her own is a miracle.
UPDATE: Tiny Johanna has a strong will and wants to survive! After being stabilized at the emergency clinic her doctor was able to evaluate her wound. He found that the wound on her head is was filled with larvae.
When the eggs hatch, maggots will begin to feast on any dead or dying tissue. Sometimes they will even begin to eat the healthy tissue. Johanna's wound is deep but New York Bully Crew works with a trusted veterinarian in Venezuela who specializes in saving babies like Johanna. But they need your help!
The rescuers could not turn her back on her and neither will we. We want to make the Holidays about saving Johanna! Her care will cost in the thousands. Funds that rescuers don’t have. Johanna is being hospitalized and under 24 hour care getting treatments for her wound alone with newborn treatment since she is only 2 weeks old.
We are sponsoring her care with one of our animal saving products below. You can donate directly or consider getting one of our products for yourself or a friend as a gift for holidays and help this innocent street puppy give her a chance at a life full if love!
