King: Walking skeleton DUMPED at a shelter in the night.
Why is this happening? Will you help me save another victim of abuse? We saw these pictures of a walking skeleton, with a note from a partner rescue organization begging for Second Chance Rescues assistance. Of course they stepped up to save this life.
King was brought in overnight to a shelter as a "stray", unable to stand or walk on his own. The shelter had no choice but to send him to the nearest emergency hospital, as they feared he wouldn't survive the night. We are so grateful they did. He is in ICU.
For King to be on such horrific shape, this abuse had to take weeks, if not months! Why wouldn't they just turn him into a shelter, rather than watch him die a slow, painful death of starvation? The people who surrendered him to the shelter are under investigation.
He is a big dog who only weighs less than 1/3 of what he should weigh. King weighs only 19 pounds! We simply cannot believe he was able to even survive this long. He was dehydrated and so weak, how did he endure being on his own, locked up out of sight? Why would anyone hurt him? How could people be so cruel? We ask ourselves these questions over and over again.
We have partnered with Second Chance Rescue NYC to help raise the funds needed for King's recovery. Help us save another innocent victim. Please, if you are able, consider purchasing an item below to help save this babies' life.
