Kodak had the euthanasia needle in his arm when he was saved.
This is a story of how one rescue saved a dog who literally had the euthanasia needle in his arm! Pattie, founder at Dallas DogRRR said, “I was alerted about a very sick emaciated dog in a shelter on 4th of July. A weekend where at any given shelter in the USA during a holiday weekend is busting at the seems due to the recklessness of human kind.”
“What do you do when you are at a max capacity in your rescue when a volunteer walks over to you and says "it's time, he's sedated"? That is code for, the 1st of 3 euthanasia needles are in his arm. I did not walk into a kill shelter today thinking i would meet and take Kodak home among others. For crying out loud I am a human being, mankind that did this to these dogs who deserved better ownership and responsibility than what they were dealt.”
These photographs tell you something very vivid and horrifying has happened to Kodak. His tail has been ripped off of his body. He has wounds all over his face and under all of his hair that are both old and new. Onto of that Kodak has a deep burn running down his entire back. So when rescuers were told the shelter was euthanizing him they decided to take him and save his life. He was one of 23 other dogs Dallas DogRRR saved that day. Now they need your help!
They rushed him to their Emergency Vet for life saving care. Dallas DogRRR is a licensed Non Profit Organization and rely solely on donations to continue their life-saving work. They cannot do this without you.
This is where we are asking for your help! We have partnered with DD RRR to create these animal saving shirts, sweaters and accessories to raise the funds needed to save Kodak, pay for surgeries and continued around the clock care. With your help they can save him from this unthinkable neglect and abuse. Everything from a tee to a bracelet can help Kodak heal both mentally and physically.
