Lolita was found on the streets of Peru with no way to see.
Help give this kitten the care she needs. A volunteer for New York Bully Crew on the ground in Peru was in the middle of a spay and neuter clinic for locals. After the clinic was finished she found this small creature on the street. It was a newborn kitten with her eyes bulging from her head. I haven’t seen anything like this before.
Rescuers at New York Bully Crew could not turn their backs on this kitten because without help she would not survive. They have named her Lolita. Little Lolita was rushed to one of the top emergency vets in all of Peru.
Doctors believe they are dealing with the worst case of conjunctivitis they have seen. Because it was never treated is has caused a massive infection of the outer membrane of the eyeball and the inner eyelid. Lolita was stabilize, placed on IV pain medications and started treatment on her eyes.
UPDATE 4-12-19: Little Lolita is making slow progress with medications. She has the worst case of conjunctivitis doctors have ever seen. The treatment is helping but the doctor doesn’t know the extent of permanent damage yet. It is unknown if she will ever see again. We wIll continue to update you on her recovery. Please continue to help!
Rescuers are praying and hoping at least one of Lolita’s eyes can be saved but they are still waiting on results. She cannot be transported out of Peru until doctors can treat her condition. She cannot travel with infections.
We have created the animal-saving products below to help raise the funds to cover her emergency care. Please consider purchasing one of these items and share her story to help give Lolita the second chance she deserves!
