LuLu is fighting for her life!
I know this is hard to see but we need you! Lulu was rushed from the shelter to the emergency vet late last night. She was having trouble breathing. The vet said she came in blue and unable to breath. They did X rays and she has SEVERE Pneumonia. She needs to be kept in an oxygen tank or else she can't breath without it.
Additional tests are being ran. She is currently on lots of IV fluids, and IV medications. She is going to need Nebulizer treatments as well. All the vets are closed for the Holiday so she has to stay at the emergency vet which is extremely expensive and out of budget. Rescuers stated, “We don't have enough funds to cover her medical costs but we couldn't sit back and let her die. Please share her story and fundraiser.”
“ Aside from her respiratory disease, she is suspected to have underlying cardiac disease, atopy with scaling and a perineal hernia that will likely require surgical correction. “ Lulu’s care is at about $2500. They don’t recommend taking her out of the oxygen cage to transport her anywhere, plus most vets are closing early today and she needs 24/7 care and monitoring. She desperately needs your help! This is critical and she is touch and go.
We cannot do this without you. Her emergency care and ongoing care will cost in the thousands and that's just not the kind of fund this rescue has. So, we have stepped in to help. We have created the Animal Abuse Awareness shirts, hoodies, totes and bracelets you see below. We ask that if you would consider one of these items below. It's a great way to show family and friends that not only do you have a cute shirt but you helped save Lulu’s life.
This makes us so happy!!! Look who is coming home from the hospital!
Lulu is feeling much better and Caitlin's Vine Of Bravery will continue all her medicines from home and manage her collapsed trachea! She’s so happy!
