Miracle was saved on Thanksgiving day and now she needs your help.
Thanksgiving day as the shelter closed their doors for the holiday they sent Patti, founder at Dallas DogRRR, a plea about a dog who was very close to death. The Thanksgiving dog, now dubbed Miracle, was found as a stray in really bad shape. The shelter asked Dallas DogRRR if they would take her in and without hesitation they said yes. Unfortunately, In animal rescue we never stop, not even for Thanksgiving.
Rescuers had her immediately seen by their emergency vet on Thanksgiving day. Then Miracle was transported to their local ER. She will continue to receive treatment and supportive care. She is currently weak and malnourished. She does not have the strength to lift her head. The pictures you see tell it all.
DDRRR wrote, “Please consider saying an extra prayer for strength and donating to her care!”
It took a very long time for Miracle to get in such horrible shape. Many people walked by her but not one stopped. Perhaps everyone was too busy with Thanksgiving preparations, understandably. Animal control found her nearly lifeless. Thankfully Dallas DogRRR were on call on Thanksgiving day. Now the need your help.
It will take thousands of dollars to continue the emergency care Miracle needs. That is just not the type of funds Dallas DogRRR has. They have exhausted all avenues and now we have stepped in to help in our own little way. We have created the Animal Abuse Awareness shirts, hoodies, totes and bracelets you see below. We ask that if you would consider one of these items for your Christmas gift list. It's a great gift to give to family and friends and you get to tell them not only did they get a cute shirt but they helped save Miracle.
Dallas DogRRR is a group of dedicated, animal-loving volunteers who support the abandoned dogs of Dallas, Texas, by collecting supplies, paying vet bills, locating foster families, facilitating adoptions, and advocating for a more hopeful future. We are often seen even in the trenches of SE Dallas searching for and rescuing forgotten dogs.
