In Lawrence County, Alabama an anemic, dehydrated and starving dog spent most of his life at the end of a chain. When rescued, he was exhausted, had been having painful muscle contractions and his body just ached.
Rushed to the Morgan Animal Hospital, the dog named Gauge has a long uphill battle to recover, and Changing 42 Animal Rescue has agreed to help and take him into their rescue program.
He is very weak and his body hurts. He is having muscle contractions and is just exhausted. He's on a special diet and several different medications. He will have to have HW treatment when his body is strong enough. Thank you all that have supported Gauge.

Changing 42 Rescue was founded in July 2015 to assist our animal control officer. We are located in Lawrence County, Alabama and have no animal shelter. We receive no outside funding, we rely strictly on donations. Our rescue accepts all adoptable dogs and cats that animal control brings to us. To date we have had 1672 animals. Our goal is to help educate our county and assist our residents with spaying and neutering. We are attempting to make changes in Lawrence County for the welfare of the animals.
