Nana has brain swelling after being hit by a car.
Our partners at Dallas Dog RRR are fighting for the life of a baby Nana with brain swelling. She was ran over by a car and surrendered by her owner.
Rescuers at Dallas Dog RRR stepped in and rushed little Nana to the ER. At the time she was only given a 50/50 chance at surviving.
She was taken into the ICU to stabilize her brain swelling. Along with her brain Nana’s body is torn up. She has road rash throughout, and she has several broken paws that were casted.
Update 6-11-19: Some good news today is Sweet Nana has made it through the last 24 hours. She is however making very slow progress. Nana is still presenting neurological concerns, but she is trying to eat, so that is always a good sign. She will remain in the hospital for a few more days.
UPDATE 6-17-19: For what Nana has been through, Nana is doing well! She's been hospitalized 24/7 for the last 2 weeks! She's had to manage drain tubes, constant bandage changes, and assistance going potty. We hope her recovery continues as she transitions away from the ER, but she'll need ongoing medical care for a while. Her medical care for the last week has been huge, and rescuers are in need of funds. Please help if you can!
Please let's rally for Nana and help Dallas Dog RRR cover her care. We have sponsored her care by creating the animal saving products you see below. Nana’s care is extremely expensive for rescuers. Please consider purchasing something below to help.
