Pepe was tossed out onto the streets of Peru.
Pepe was tossed to the streets of Peru, begging for food. A sweet young girl found him and knew he needed veterinary care as his eye is ulcerated and infected. She brought him home but her parents disapproved and threw him back to the streets.
I am sorry that the images might be hard to view, but it’s more painful to turn away than to acknowledge the desperation that street dogs near and far must deal with each day.
A local volunteer in Peru who works with Near and Far Animal Foundation was contacted by the young girl to help tiny Pepe. The rescuers immediately went into action. Pepe needs immediate emergency treatment at the hospital and medications to be stabilized. It’s unknown if he will lose his eye but if the medication doesn’t heal, the eye will need to be removed.
Street animals are treated cruelty in Peru and many do not survive. Pepe’s initial emergency care with antibiotics and food will cost $415. These are funds NFAF does not have. Please help me sponsor Pepe and the team at NFAF.
He is a sweet young boy that deserves to be pain free and find his forever home. President Carla Murino and NFAF specializes in working with international volunteers saving animals most organizations cannot.
We are sponsoring Pepe with one of our animal saving products. You can donate directly or purchase something special here.
