Petra was found completely infested with ticks.
We have created this campaign to help raise the funds needed to save a homeless dog who can’t walk or eat.
Petra was noticed wandering around for weeks with no help. A kind women posted photos and a video of this very sick dog’s condition on social media. She was completely infested with ticks you could see them crawling on her. She could barely stand and is skin and bones.
Petra was rescued by New York Bully Crew and was rushed to the ER immediately. Petra collapsed during her rescue from malnourishment and the numerous ticks and parasites depleting what was left of her. The vet estimated that this poor girl is about 2 years old and currently 32 lbs., when she is supposed to be at least 60 pounds.
Her initial diagnosis is starvation, dehydration, parasites, hip dysplasia, low RBC and platelets., Petra was diagnosed with Erlichia from tick infestation. This causes Fever, Lethargy, Lymph node infection, skin bruising and bleeding and paralysis like in Petra’s case.
Her rescuers at NYBC know nothing about what happened to her or who did this. All they can do now is focus on saving her life. With your help they can save Petra. PLEASE HELP!
We have partnered with New York Bully Crew to help raise the funds they need to save Petra. To help save her please consider purchasing one of her shirts, totes, bracelets and coffee mugs below. With every purchase you can help us cover her life saving emergency care.
New York Bully Crew
New York Bully Crew is a 501c3 not-for-profit rescue organization founded in December 2010. Though based on Long Island, NYBC’s outreach is nationwide. We specialize in rescuing Pitbulls, however no animal in dire need of rescue is turned away. NYBC strives to bring positive attention to the most loyal breed one could encounter, and give second chances to those who have been discarded by humans simply because of what they are…a Pitbull.
