Phillip: Found bloated with worms, infested with fleas
I’m not sure where to begin because sometimes pictures speak louder than words.
Phillip is only 12 weeks old, covered in fleas, bloated from worms and starving. This was how Animal Control found him.
It is hard for me to imagine how this little puppy survived and for how long people saw him but did nothing.
The shelter sent out an urgent plea and Dallas DogRRR immediately stepped in to help. No way could they let him go one more day of suffering. A Dallas DogRRR volunteer rescued him from the shelter and went directly to the ER for evaluation and treatment. The volunteer who picked him up told us that he rode on her lap and stared at her the entire ride to the ER as she wept silently. She said it was painful to witness his body condition and can only imagine how much pain he was feeling.
She named him “Phillip” and as hard as it was to see him in that condition, it was even harder to watch as they carried him to the back room until the double doors restricted her from seeing his beautiful face.
His belly was chock-full of worms and covered in fleas to the point of being anemic, but with great medical care came great results and he is feeling better than he ever probably has in his short 12 weeks of existence. After just a few days in the ER, Little Phillip was released and is settling very nicely into his foster home.
Phillip will remain in the foster home where he will regain his strength and gain a few pounds.
We have created this campaign to help give Phillip a new life. With every purchase, you can make a difference for Phillip. Every tee, hoodie, bracelet, necklace and accessory delivers a life-saving donation.
