Pixel: She watched me for days unable to stand or eat...
YOU CANT HAVE MY SOUL
He tried to take my soul... and I said NO. Read how ► http://dogco.org/save-pixel-tafPosted by Hendrick & Co. on Monday, August 22, 2016
Excuse my language but I am so pissed off right now. A person watched this dog in their yard unable to stand suffering for days trying to crawl for help. FINALLY, days later, someone contacted animal control. His suffering we can only imagine. We are naming this sweet boy – pixel
This case is heartbreaking. Pixel is a senior black Lab that had 3 breaks total in both back legs. Can you believe the pain he is in?
Incredibly a The Arrow Fund rescuers stepped up to save his life and now they need our help! Late last night Pixel received surgery for all three breaks. One leg had a femur fracture (very painful). His other back leg had a greater trochanter fracture -which is a large part of the femur connecting to the hip bone (also very very painful for the animal). This was the most difficult fracture to repair. Also on that same leg/hip an FHO was performed. So this was a very intense multiple procedure. Surgery lasted several hours.
This will be a very difficult and yes painful recovery for Pixel even with pain management. Plus, he will need extensive physical therapy. So a long recovery ahead, but we are thankful that surgery is over! Now on to the healing! Pixel is such a precious boy and The Arrow Fund is honored that we could help him. We love you Pixel and now you have a family!
Saving Pixel is as simple as wearing a tee! We have partnered with rescuers at The Arrow Fund in creating this week's animal-saving shirt, long sleeve and hoodie design to help us raise funds needed for Pixel's recovery. Please, if you are able, consider purchasing an item below to help save this baby's life! We can't do this without you!
