Quincy is being rushed to the Emergency Hospital right now. This is his only hope at survival. This video is one of the most heartbreaking depictions of the plight of a shelter animal who has been left to die and thrown out like a piece of garbage.
Quincy was found wandering the Atlanta streets and was picked up by animal control ...He was actually micro-chipped and his owner was called by the shelter. They stated he has been missing for a week. His owner then stated, "No thanks we don't want him back”. I AM SO SO SO ANGRY. The authorities will be investigating this case as abuse. Now we must focus our selves and save his life.
Quincy is a skeleton and in very critical condition. He looks so sad, weak and defeated. This is so unfair! Jaci of Rescue Dogs Rock said, “Quincys only hope is to be rushed to the Emergency Hospital for life saving medical care. He deserves this chance … To walk in the Emergency Hospital is $1000 which includes very little. We Need help.”
You can help save Quincy by purchasing one of his shirts, hoodies, tote or bracelet that donates to his medical care! These make great gifts and each and every one helps save this discarded and unwanted soul. Help us give Quincy the second chance at life he deserves. Lets make him our Holiday miracle.
UPDATE 12-28-16 : Quincy is alive and in stable condition but it is still a very hard fight. He unfortunately is very disoriented and quite agitated at our GA vet partners. We have changed his medications, added different pain management and steroids for inflammation. We have no new information on the investigation about his previous owner. Instead, we are focused on saving his life.
Quincy is also not eating very much. This is scary because he needs to gain weight but it is a very slow process for his vet team. Rescuers and Emergency staff will continue to do everything possible for Quincy so that he can have quality of life for whatever time he has left. Jaci from RDR writes, "We hope we are not too late. Quincys medical status is day to day. We still desperately need your help. Quincy still desperately needs your help." With every purchase on this page you can help save his life and give him the second chance at life he deserves.
UPDATE 12-29-16 : This is turning out to be one of the worst years we have ever had. 2016 is not getting any better. With broken hearts, we have more heartbreaking news today. Quincy lost his battle and the vets believe he had a brain tumor. He was obviously a senior in horrible shape, but Rescue Dogs Rock did everything to give him a chance to know a loving home and a warm bed even if it wasn't for long.
He rebounded when rescuers first took him, but they knew the odds were stacked against him. He would circle a lot and act like he had dementia. The medical team changed up his meds at the end of last week, but it did not help. We hope Quincy knows he was loved in the end and that everything that could be done for him was done. We will always love you Quincy and we wish we had met you sooner. Run pain free! I am so sorry. I wish I had better news. To his owner that left him in his most time of need SHAME ON YOU! You left it in the hands of rescuers to pick up the pieces. They spent thousands of dollars to try and save Quincy's life. Donations they didn't have. To then loose poor Quincy to your abuse. You are despicable.
Please know that just because this innocent victim has passed on doesn't mean that Rescue Dogs Rock doesn't need your help. They need your help so very badly now. Please, if you can, donate here or purchase a shirt, tote, hoodie or bracelet in honor of Quincy. Quincy your legacy will live in to save hundreds more just like you my sweet baby.
