Reyes is a dog that locals were threatening to hang from a tree.
NYBC just received a plea to help a dog that locals in Honduras were threatening to hang.
This is the sad story of Reyes who was found on the streets of Honduras. Melissa, a volunteer in Honduras, searches for days for him. The colony Reyes lived at wanted to hang him because of his tumors.
Melissa begged the guard to not hurt Reyes. She went back literally every day until he appeared. He has transmissible venereal sarcomas, monocytic ehrlichiosis along with severe anemia.
The rescuers at New York Bully Crew cannot transport this dog out of Honduras until he receives chemotherapy for his tumors and stabilized from his years on the streets. He is at the Emergency Vet in Honduras with some of the country’s best doctors.
UPDATE 3-25-19: Doctors continue to stabilize little Reyes. He is burdened with parasites and is receiving supplemental vitamins and treatment to build his strength so he can tolerate chemotherapy. Doctors have ordered the first 8 treatments chemotherapy that he will begin as soon as he is medically cleared. This is a huge step in his recovery!
What New York Bully Crew is asking for your support in getting Reyes the chemotherapy and treatments he needs.
We have created the animal-saving products below to help raise the funds for his procedures. Please consider purchasing one of these items and share his story to help give Reyes the second chance he deserves.
