Rocky is a senior rotti left at a shelter unable to see.
Just take a look at his photos and you will see a dog who has given up. He was left at a shelter in this condition at 7 years old. A senior dog like him had no chance at a crowded city shelter in Harris County, Texas. Our friends at New York Bully Crew rushed to the shelter to save Rocky.
He has a horrific eye condition where his eyes are encrusted with infection, pus and so irritated that he is in pain. His eye sight is extremely hindered. A volunteer with NYBC transported Rocky to the emergency clinic.
Doctors first needed to make sure this boy was stable. Doctors determined he will need daily ointment for his eyesight for the rest of his life. All because someone chose not to give him the care he needed. He is also on antibiotics as x-rays show he has severe bronchitis along with possible mass. Doctors will revisited x-rays after his upper respiratory infection clears up.
UPDATE 5/1/19: Rocky has already come such a long way since we first shared his story with you. He is in a foster home in TX. He is being showered with love, care and kisses! This is the life! Medically he is progressing well. His eyes are slowly recovering and pain free. His upper respiratory is making progress as well. He is such a strong boy but still needs your support!
What we are asking for is your help in giving this baby the ongoing care he needs. This type of care is expensive for nonprofits to cover. This senior needs our help.
Please consider purchasing one of Rocky’s animal saving shirts, totes, candles or wristlets below. With every purchase you can help give Rocky the care he needs.
