Dogs escape foster home & come back skinned! Need your help!
This case is horrific. We received a plea from Apollo Support & Rescue for Abandoned Dogs for the safety of 4 dogs. Their owners had moved and abandoned them in Palmer TX leaving them to fend for themselves. Apollo immediately said they would help.
The person who found all the dogs could not keep them at her house, so she had a friend keep them in her yard for the time being in Alma Texas. Unfortunately a storm came through and the dogs ended up escaping! Day in and day out there was no sight of the dogs. About a week or so later ONLY the mom and one of her pups came back but they were seriously injured. They had been taken to the vet immediately where it was determined that these wounds were man made. It seems some horrible person skinned them!
Apollo is deeply worried about the whereabouts of the other two missing puppies, but fear the worst has happened. There is an investigation into the missing dogs and the heinous torture of the other two dogs.
On Thursday both dogs will undergo surgery to repair their injuries. (Previous treatment was not working to close up the wounds). The blonde dog (the mom) tested positive for heartworm so she will need more blood work and chest x-rays before surgery can take place. While they are under anesthesia, they will be vaccinated and micro chipped as well.
Let's help these dogs move passed this horrible injustice that has been done to them. It's unimaginable to think of what they have been through. We have partnered with Apollo Support & Rescue for Abandoned Dogs to help raise the funds needed for both dog's care. You can make a difference in their lives one tee, hoodie or bracelet at a time!
Apollo Support & Rescue INc
Our organization rescues dogs from local North Texas animal shelters or dogs trying to survive from abuse or neglect and living a hard life on the street. If only dogs could talk we would know more about their history and where they came from. They may have scars, been abused or abandon or just lost their way. Our goal at Apollo is to be a stepping stone to care for them and place them in homes that believe in second chances.
