Snow was confiscated by authorities after being found choked with a leash.

Officers confiscated this 7 month old puppy as part of an abuse case. He was found literally gasping for air. Snow was brought into the shelter a few weeks back but rescuers could not share this story because the case has been open.

I have no information on who did this and if they were prosecuted. We are just as frustrated as you are about this. These rescuers have zero control over legislation or the way abuse cases are handled. Rescuers are here to pick up the pieces after.

Authorities confiscated this 7 month old puppy from a backyard where he was tethered. The leash was tangled so tightly for so long that it began to cut off the circulation to his head. This is why his head is 3 times its normal size.

He was finally surrendered to the shelter after his court case closed a few days ago. Now he is fighting a severe upper respiratory infection along with the swelling of his head. This poor puppy waited so long to be free and now this.

Second Chance Rescue NYC have pulled the dog named Snow from the county shelter and rushed him to the emergency hospital. He is receiving life saving around the clock care. His medical needs are high and so will the vet bills. We are here to help.

Please consider purchasing one of Snow’s products you see below to help raise the funds for his care. With every purchase you can help rescuers give this stay puppy the care he desperately needs!

UPDATE 12-3-18:  Ready for some very happy news? Snow has left the building... well left the vets building that is. Snow has completed his recovery and looks like a completely new dog! We still have no information on the abuse case from Authorities. What we do have is a link for you to adopted this baby! Please fill out an application at : nycsecondchancerescue.org
