Stark is a pitbull abuse case in Philadelphia
The rescue group Bella-Reed Pit Bull Rescue have just taken on a horrible abused pitbull. Stark is a 3-4 year old cruelty case from PSPCA. We are unsure of his full story, but it is suspect he was hit by a car. A hit and run and never treated.
He was brought in by PSPCA Humane Law Enforcement in Philadelphia and x-rays showed broken shoulder areas in BOTH front legs. The shelter was unable to treat the extent of his injuries there, so he became urgent the second he came in to the shelter. PSPCA reached out to Bella-Reed Pit Bull Rescue who was able to transport him within the hour!
Despite the pain and discomfort Stark is in, he remains one of the sweetest boys, giving kisses, accepting affection and wagging his tail.
Stark is currently at an emergency vet hospital and will be transport to an orthopedic surgeon to start his surgery. Including his upcoming surgery brings to total of his vet bills over $10,000. No matter the cost they have committed to save Stark and are asking for our support.
A bill like this can bankrupt a small nonprofits like Bell-Reed and we are hoping for your support. They have reached out for our help with a Stark T-shirt and hoodie campaign and of course we said yes. You can either donate directly here or purchase one of Stark's products below!
UPDATE 5-14-19: Stark has had his second surgery and now is on his way to a full recovery with a little TLC. Thank you to Valley Central Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center for taking such excellent care of him. He is a staff favorite! Please consider opening your home to this sweet guy.
We ask that you please pray for Stark, share his story and help us cover the costs for his care by purchasing one of his t shirts, hoodies, aprons or pillows. With every purchase you can help cover Starks emergency surgery and save this little guy’s life.
