Sumac was used for profit by a "rescue" in Peru!
I AM SO ANGRY! This horribly neglected stray was use for a profit scam in Peru and then left to starve, alone and locked away. The most upsetting part is that it was done by a so-called rescue that filled their pockets and left her to die! Yes! Now we are left to pick up the pieces.
She has been deliberately locked away, forgotten and starved. She cannot stand at all. She is weak from being cachectic, her body just a skeleton with open wounds and burns. She has horrendous pressure sores all over her body, she is beyond malnourished. New York Bully Crew’s rescuers in Peru as able to transport Sumac straight to their emergency vet.
Please support rescuer’s decision to care for Sumac and get her the medical treatment necessary to save her life. When others disappoint, we must stand up and help those in need
She will need prescription food and around the clock care. Her body shows signs of trauma, probably injury from a car that was never treated. Her hip is fractured but now bears the results of a poorly executed operation and now she is in pain. Sumac was starved and emaciated.
This type of care is extreme expensive for New York Bully Crew and we are here to help. We are sponsoring the care of Sumac with one of our “My heart is paved with paw prints.” aprons, pillows, keychains or cups below. Please get yours and help me sponsor Sumac and her much needed emergency care!
Update 11/11/19 Doesn’t she look great?‼️ Healthy weight gained, open wounds healed- Karina has done an amazing job with getting Sumac to a level of health and happiness. She has fur friends and now she is ready for a new evaluation about her rear leg. Prior surgeries done by others left Sumac with a rear leg she cannot bear weight on. Her next evaluation will tackle what is wrong and what can be done.Although she still cannot put pressure on her rear leg, she has found some independence and continues to heal. Her raw wounds have healed.
