Sylvie watched as hundreds walked by and not one stopped to help.
Only 1 year old and Sylvie was already on the streets, tossed out like a piece of trash. She has cuts all over, absolutely NO hair, raging skin infections, scabs all over her tiny body, emaciated and she is very week. She has spent months on the streets all alone and left to fend for herself.
It doesn't end there. Sadly, Sylvie also has a severely injured leg and is limping very badly. She cannot put any weight on her hind leg. I can’t imagine her limping around desperate for help and not one person took her in or stopped to help. My heart breaks thinking about it. Maybe all the months alone on the streets, she was hit by a car or she was abused and then dumped. We just don’t know. What we do know is she needs help and she needs it now. We have partnered with Rescue Dogs Rock to create this campaign and raise the funds needed to save tiny Sylvie.
After months with no help Sylvie was spotted by a passerby who saw her roaming the streets. They didn't stop or help but instead called Animal Control. Shortly thereafter, Sylvie was caught and brought into the San Antonio Shelter. As we know, the shelter is not a safe haven and without help from a rescue to save Sylvie, she would not survive.
Volunteers from RDR saw Sylvie and decided they could not let her suffer another moment. and contacted the shelter and agreed to help her. Volunteers rushed the tiny destroyed Sylvie to an Emergency Vet for life saving care. She will need extensive medical treatment as she is critical right now. Now we are focused on saving her life.
We have partnered with Rescue Dogs Rock to create the Animal Welfare Awareness candles and apparel you see below. With every purchase you help give Sylvie the life saving care she desperately needs. With your help she will never feel pain again.
