Thurston: Found wondering the streets with a bullet in his back!
**** UPDATE**** Remember Thurston? He was shot in the spine with a gun by an abuser. Look at this baby now! Pure happiness. Thurston is thrilled to be in his loving medical foster home! This guy is ready to live his next 8 lives to the fullest! Thank you to everyone who supported this baby along his journey!
Another cat shot with a gun. Why is this happening? Who can do this to an innocent animal and live with themselves? Was this for fun? We will never know. We saw these pictures of Thurston and knew we had to step up to help this victim of abuse.
We would like to welcome Thurston the Third with open, loving arms into the AARCS family, our rescue partner. Even though there may not be a Thurston I, or II, rescuers believe it gives him character, a bold, strong name for a pretty little purring machine.
Thurston III was found wandering in rural Alberta in dire need of medical attention. His body ravaged with open wounds. He was shaved and rushed into surgery. During surgery to tend to his injuries, a bullet was also extracted. Yes we found a bullet inside this babies' body. Vet staff worked for hours putting in drains throughout his body and many sutures closing up the wounds. It is times like these that we must spread the word, #BeKindToAnimals.
We do not know who did this to Thurston III. And we will most likely never know who did. Our hope is that others see this campaign and maybe… just maybe this will not happen again. Right now we are focused on saving this kitty's life and we will you will join us.
We have partnered with Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society - AARCS to help raise the funds needed for Thurston III's recovery. To say we need your help is an understatement. Will you help me save another innocent victim of abuse? Please, if you are able, consider purchasing an item below to help save Thurston III's life!
