Treasure: Fighting for her life after being found, tossed aside like trash at shelter.
A severely neglected dog is fighting for her life after being found, tossed aside like trash, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The dog, dubbed "Treasure," was found tied to a cage behind the J.B. Ogle Shelter.
The Arrow Fund, who has taken this dog in, wrote, "Treasure had a collar on that was huge on her. They used a red rope to tie her to a cage outside when nobody was looking. Just left like trash in a box!" The emaciated dog has a plethora of medical issues including bacterial and yeast infections, heart worms, mange, maggots, and anemia.
Treasure did receive a blood transfusion early yesterday morning. Rescuers who were with her said that she was completely still, did not move at all. They took that time to tell her of all of the love each of you have for her. I asked her to please fight so they we all could spoil her. I also told her that nobody would ever hurt her again.
Slowly, Treasure is showing signs of improvement - but the road to recovery will be a struggle. She and we need your help desperately. We have partnered with The Arrow Fund to help raise the funds needed for Treasure 's recovery. Help us save another innocent victim abused and neglected! Our hearts are broken for this poor dog. Please, if you are able, consider purchasing an item below to help save this girl's life.
