Chaz was brought to a shelter with a puncture through his forehead.
Tiny Chaz was brought into the shelter in a very critical state. He is a stray that has been possibly hit by a car or worse. Upon arrival, Chaz was depressed, his head has a puncture wound, puncture wound through his eyelid, bleeding from his nostrils, pupils are different sizes due to trauma, PLR's (passive leg raising) direct and indirect are not normal. Chaz had blood on front feet and right lateral gluteal area.
A volunteer with Second Chance Rescue NYC transported Chaz from the shelter straight to their emergency vets for life saving care! Doctors looked for possible skull fractures, Epistaxis/ Bleeding from the nose then soft tissue trauma.
UPDATE 4/1/21: After speaking with his medical team Second Chance Rescue reports that the most urgent issue he is facing his the wound on his right eye. The puncture wound on his forever and on his body he will be able to recover from. Chaz will have some teeth removed shortly too. Rescuers are ensuring he will be healed physically and emotionally!
