Celeste: Breeder surrenders puppy simply because she was acting sick
Celeste is only 11 weeks old. This Great Dane puppy was "owner surrendered" to a Good Samaritan because she was "acting sick" one day. The "breeder" said he was going to just dump her or have her put down. So he told the good Samaritan to "come get it out of the bed of his truck while he was getting something to eat".
The Good Samaritan rushed to get Celeste and contacted Bully4You Rescue & Rehabilitation Inc. in South Carolina.
Celeste has now been to the vet. She was "acting sick" because she was unbelievably loaded with hookworms and roundworms. The infestation was so serious that little intestines were inflamed and showing blood. Luckily, she tested negative for parvo, coccidia and gardia! Little Celeste has an upper respiratory infection and pneumonia. She was severely dehydrated, which is why she was wanting to drink. And, she has been horribly throwing up.
Celeste has been given multiple dewormers, antibiotics, filled up with fluids, and now has to be watched closely! She has to have shots of antibiotics daily, and oral antibiotics. It is now a wait and see type of situation. She has to be kept on a heating pad because her body temp is extremely low, and she can't get it back up herself.
Worst of all, she weighs only 10.6 lbs. Yes, you are reading that right. Celeste is an 11-week-old Great Dane pup weighing 10.6 lbs.
Celeste still is vomitting and unable to keep anything down. Her drinking has also decreased. She is trying to move around, but her breathing sounds bad again.
Celeste faces an uphill battle to survive. Bully4You Rescue & Rehabilitation is doing everything they can to help save Celeste. They need your help today.
With every tee, hoodie, bracelet, necklace, tote or blanket purchased, you can help save Celeste.
Bully4You Rescue & Rehabilitation Inc.
Bully4You Rescue & Rehabilitation Inc, is an all volunteer, SC licensed rescue operated by a 501©3 nonprofit corporation. We truly love saving lives. We pull dogs out of our surrounding shelters that are on the euth. lists, and give them a true chance at love and life. We take any age, any size, any breed, and any status! Once we save these babies, we care for them like they are our own. We get them fully vetted, we work on rehabilitating them, and training them. When they are ready, we find them the perfect fur-ever home for them. We also take dogs off the streets, who need our assistance, search for their families (and return them if they have one), or add them into our rescue, and find them a home. We truly believe that each animal, deserves a true chance at a loving home!
