Fitz body is destroyed.
The Rescue Fund was contacted late last evening to help this very abused boy. He has severe skin issues with open wounds, emaciated, and blood vessel irritation in left eye. He now needs your help!
He was originally named “Old Fitz” because when he was first saved volunteers thought he was a very old dog. But he was just so neglected, he actually is between 1 and 2 years of age. So now they call him Fitz.
Fitz was rushed to the Emergency Vet in Kentucky and saw Dr. Tolar for his eye and will be on meds to help him heal. He was placed on fluids and pain mediations because he is extremely anemic. He will see a dermatologist consultant today to determine what treatment plan to take for his severe skin conditions. We have made a promise to Fitz we will not stop until he is stable.
We have partnered with The Arrow Fund to create this week's animal saving t-shirt design! Please, if you can, purchase one of our Fitz + TAR items below! With your help this victim of abuse can get the second chance at life he deserves!
UPDATE 5-15-17: Fitz is now in his wonderful foster home after being discharged from the hospital. He is doing and feeling much better. It will be a slow process and he still tires easily, but he is showing progress. Fitz is soaking up all of the love and kindness from his foster mom Shelly. The Arrow Fund still needs your help!
