Orville was left in the streets unable to stand on his own
We have created this tee shirt campaign to help raise the funds needed to save a dog who came into the shelter unable to stand or walk.
Our partners at The Arrow Fund were called from Louisville Metro Animal Services to help this totally emaciated sweet boy named Orville. He can’t stand or walk and was so dehydrated. Rescuers rushed him from the shelter straight to their emergency vet were a team was waiting. After bloodwork it was determined he needed an immediate blood transfusion. His temperature on arrival to the hospital was 97 and dropping. Without their quick intervention Orville would not have survived.
Yes, this is abuse. We have been told this case is under investigation. He is literally skin on top of bone. We certainly hope someone will be held accountable for the condition this sweet boy is in. Orville is critical, but rescuers have hope they were able to save him in time. He is so pitiful... but oh so sweet!
Orville is a 9 year old boxer mix. He is extremely emaciated and weighs only 30 pounds! Body Condition Score 1/9 which is the worst you can get. A blood transfusion was required to correct anemia. He is hypothermic, covered in fleas, nearly bald. Orville cannot stand or walk. X-rays showed a hairline fracture in his pelvis. After he received his blood transfusion he brightened up and kissed his nurse. He has received antibiotics, pain medication, anthelmintics medications and laser therapy for pain. PLEASE help The Arrow Fund cover his vetting costs.
UPDATE 10-22-18: Orville has gained 4 pounds, but still is in critical shape. He was and still is literally skin on bone. Orville can walk only with assistance. His back end is so weak . He is however trying to use one back leg more and can successfully sit up now. Orville just wants to cuddle and kiss your face. PLEASE continue to help this very deserving puppy.
To help with all of the specialty care and vetting for Orville please consider purchasing one of his shirts, hoodies or coffee mugs below. With every purchase you can help TAF give him a second chance at life and love.
